Karatta Wines

Karatta Wines, nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Robe, S.E., is a testament to the intricate bond between land and vine.

Owned by the Woods Family of Griffin Pastrol CO. the wine brand is known for its long association with farming and grazing on the limestone coast.

Karatta has long aspired to encapsulate the essence of its
locale and the unique narratives of its origins through its wine labels and cellar door experience.

What We Did

Notable Fare embarked on a comprehensive journey with Karatta Wines, blending rebranding efforts with strategic space revitalisation to enhance both brand identity and customer experience.

Our initiative began with addressing the outdated and misaligned wine labels, spearheading a rebranding strategy that realigned the labels to reflect the premium nature and unique stories of the wines.

The new design concept, featuring specific wildflowers each wine was named after, transformed the labels into captivating pieces of art, also adorning the walls of the cellar door, which boasts an adjoining art gallery on Robe's main street. This effort included the development of the flagship wine 'The Anaesthetists' honouring the family patriarch's diverse roles and passions.

Simultaneously, we seized the opportunity to transform Karatta's cellar door and art gallery. The objective was to redefine the space into a welcoming destination that clearly narrates Karatta's story, history, and showcases its wines, blending the essence of art and wine seamlessly.

The refurbishment focused on utilising an adjacent empty block to develop a more inviting exterior and courtyard, alongside decluttering the interior to spotlight the wines. This transformation revitalised Karatta's presence on Robe's main street, turning it into a vibrant hub for locals and tourists alike.

The revamped space now encourages exploration and appreciation of Karatta's wines and legacy, significantly increasing foot traffic, average spend, and retail sales, and fostering a deep connection with the brand.
